Founder's Digest: Must-Visit Dreamy Tropical Escape in El Nido

Updated: Apr 21, 2023

If you’re like me who goes on vacations to lose track of time and just lounge all day, you’re in for a treat from today’s digest. Read along as I take you to a beautiful hidden gem in El Nido.

The Philippines is truly beautiful and all the more when you’ve seen El Nido or Palawan for that matter -- voted as one of the most beautiful islands in the world by Travel + Leisure Magazine.

According to Conde Nast Traveller, “El Nido is one of the most biodiverse archipelagos in the Philippines. Characterized by limestone formations and aquamarine lagoons.”

True enough, El Nido charmed its way from the very moment we landed at their airport where kind locals would greet and even sing for the tourists. Definitely a way to kick off a warm relaxing trip.

Currently, Air Swift is the only airline offering direct flights to El Nido. A private flight may be booked via AirTaxi. Alternatively, you can book through Cebu Pacific, Air Asia, and Philippine Airlines via Puerto Princesa.

Now, for that dreamy tropical escape, we stayed in the beautiful and absolutely relaxing boutique resort called Frangipani El Nido. I’ve always had this thing for boutique resorts primarily because of the unique interesting design and the very limited number of guests. It’s just hard to relax when there are at least 30 people in the pool with you.

Frangipani is like a private, comfy, dreamy, tropical escape carefully designed to let you relax, eat, sleep, and repeat all day, or just choose your own adventure. You don’t need to go far and out of your room to enjoy the view since their private balconies give you an all-access pass to the stunning view of world-renowned Bacuit Bay in El Nido. The view from our room was definitely one of the best I’ve seen from a boutique resort whether it was morning or nighttime. It’s like my Instagram Saved “Resort” Collection in real life.

"Frangipani is like a private, comfy, dreamy, tropical escape carefully designed to let you relax, eat, sleep, repeat all day or just choose your own adventure."

What stunned me the most is how quiet it was, we only heard the sound of waves and birds during most of our stay, especially around late afternoon — that’s the most sound you’ll hear coz it’s that quiet.

Do not miss the chance to check out the beautiful islands, of course. Frangipani can arrange a private premium tour via El Nido Yachting Club for you.

If you want to watch the sunset, a good laidback spot to go to is Sunset at Las Cabañas.

If you ever find yourself deciding on where to go next this summer, El Nido is definitely a must-visit or a must-return-to! Hope you enjoyed this digest! Share with someone you'd like to visit El Nido with.
